Can I use NDIS funds for Physical therapy at Home?

Yes you can use your  NDIS Core funding to purchase this program online.

It will come under Community, Social and Recreational Activities
This support item is designed to enable providers to claim reimbursement for the costs of enabling
a participant to independently engage in community, social and recreational activities when costs
of participation exceed an affordable level and without, the participant would be at risk of social
isolation. Participants may use this funding for activities such as camps, vacation and outside
school hours’ care, course or membership fees.


This support item can be delivered to individual participants subject to the rules set out in the NDIS
Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. Item number 04_210_0125_6_1

To ensure the purchase aligns with NDIS criteria, your plan should include a goal/s related to your child improving gross motor skills, increasing independence, and/or community participation.

You will receive an online consult as part of your course fee, this will not be a separate charge.

 

If you would like to receive ongoing support or Telehealth sessions a service agreement can be signed and Telehealth Sessions can billed under the Capacity Building Budget.

Meeting the NDIS Reasonable and Necessary Criteria

These guidelines recognise that children thrive in familiar, everyday settings, whether at home or in the community, allowing them the same opportunities as other children.
